Fastway Engineering is pleased to announce a collaboration with mHUB, Chicago's first innovation center for physical product development and manufacturing, to develop Product Development Education for the Chicago Manufacturing community.
Fastway Engineering will work with mHUB to create innovative Product Development Educational Classes for both members and non-members to be taught at their innovation center located in downtown Chicago. The programming will leverage Fastway Engineering’s Hands-on Project-Based Curriculum as well as take advantage of the cutting-edge resources at mHUB’s facility.
“Successful Product Development is the keystone to keeping manufacturers relevant, as well as enabling startups to disrupt existing markets. Fastway is excited to partner with mHUB, and we look forward to sharing our product development expertise with mHUB’s members in Chicago and the extended manufacturing community here in the Midwest.” says Managing Director, Jim Shaw.
“We are excited to work closely with Fastway Engineering to offer world-class programming for our members, no matter which stage of the development process they are in”, says Programming Director, Cynthia Macias. “mHUB ‘s resources include the latest and most useful protyping tools in small run manufacturing equipment to support metal, plastic, wood and electronic fabrication techniques.”
Fastway Engineering brings expertise in the latest Digital Design software tools such as Computer Aided Design (CAD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). “The current manufacturing landscape is becoming more digital every day, and the Product Development Process must reflect that. The mHUB programming will offer the latest best practices and product development methodologies for makers, designers, engineers, and entrepreneurs alike.” says Shaw.
The member-only programming will start this fall, with curriculum expanding to non-members starting in 2018. For more information, mHUB members can search for classes within the member portal, and non-members interested in taking a Product Development class at mHUB may contact Fastway Engineering at 312-620-9891.
