This country is gripped with fear and anger, stemming from centuries of injustice for Black Americans that dates back to the very founding of the nation. The fundamental rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness have yet to be realized by every American. 

Over the past two weeks, this pain and tension has been expressed in overwhelming peaceful demonstrations after the senseless murder of George Floyd – by an act of an institution whose sole purpose is to protect and serve our communities – like countless other Black Americans before him. 

Our society has allowed this for too long and we must put an end to it by uniting together to end systemic racism and oppression. It’s our responsibility to every fellow American that we do not continue to stand idle as people of color are kept from realizing the inherent rights that we take for granted. We can do this by listening, reflecting, empathizing and not succumbing to divisiveness. 

mHUB stands committed to taking more action, deepening and expanding our relationships with partners, being a stronger change agent, and doing everything we can to create opportunity.
