Kim Blomquist, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, oversees initiatives to grow mHUB’s hardtech community and recognition as a foremost expert on commercializing early stage tech. She leads media engagement and overall department strategy across digital, events, and content. The team executes large brand events such as the mHUB HardTech Summit, Fourth Revolution Awards, Women in Manufacturing, and Industry Disruptors as well as develops original content to highlight member success, partner initiatives, and collaboration across the entire value chain of brining a physical product to market. Prior to mHUB, Kim led marketing and communications efforts for a large regional arts organization as they grew nationally through acquisition and the launch of new locations and services. She oversaw marketing and business development for an interior architecture firm focused on workplace design and worked for a mission-driven B-Corp to bring sustainability into foodservice.
Kim is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She sings in the choir at St. Edward's Church in the Mayfair neighborhood, where she lives with her husband Andy and two daughters. She enjoys hiking, dancing, singing, and cooking with her family. Besides these things, her greatest joy in life is music, of which she considers the Grateful Dead its pinnacle.
