Charles Traut, Prototyping Shop Technician, helps run mHUB’s Prototyping Lab and aims to guide members in their use of the space, equipment, and development of their processes.

Originally from New York, Charles moved to Chicago after getting his Bachelor's in Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). Before mHUB, Charles worked in signage and additive manufacturing as a production manager, and at SAIC’s Advanced Output fabrication lab during his years of study.

Charles loves to talk about things related to, but not limited to mycology, music, card games, farming simulators, cool bugs, and role-playing games.
