Join us to learn about the federal, state, and local legal obligations of small businesses, including founders' agreements, incorporation, taxes, insurance, employee compensation, and more. This class is taught by mHUB Mentor and Professor Heather Harper.
Professor Harper is the supervising attorney for the Startup Legal Shop at the CK Law Group. The Startup Legal Shop represents entrepreneurs in transactional matters common to growth companies, including but not limited to choice of entity and entity formation, contract review and drafting, corporate governance issues, review of leases, researching legal issues as appropriate, and trademark searches and filing. Before joining the IIT Chicago-Kent faculty, Professor Harper worked at Sidley Austin and Paul Hastings.
