Haven’t you wanted to get closer to wood, but just don’t know where to start to get that good relationship? Here is your chance to learn to be a woodworking whisperer with woodworker Barry Gork of GoodFilla. Learn the fundamentals of working with wood and basic wood joinery that can be easily turned into a box, frame, or anything else you can think of. This workshop will be a short lecture on wood properties and a demonstration of basic joinery followed by lab time with Barry.

Join us for a two-hour workshop that covers all the FUNdamentals of woodworking. This wookshop is FREE to mHUB members who have been authorized to use the Woodwork Lab. It is a great next step to build your woodworking knowledge.
The workshop will cover: wood and its properties, how to work with wood, and how to read grain. Basic wood joinery will also be covered.
Materials Provided: Wood blocks to practice several joinery techniques.
Please bring along: Notebook, writing utensil, safety glasses, any measuring tool you feel is handy.
Class is limited to 10 people.
