Anyone is invited to showcase current work in a 5-minute lightning presentation during the first hour of the meeting. The remainder of the time would be talking among ourselves while feasting on fine beers and pizza.

This is going to be our first Dorkbot meeting in a long time, so we're happy to get this party started again! If you're new to Dorkbot, the tagline is 'people doing strange things with electricity'. Yes, Dorkbot is about people doing stuff, but it's also about sharing that stuff. Dorkbot was founded by Douglas Repetto at Columbia University in 2000 to foster an informal peer review of current research work. Since then, it has become an international organization with many local chapters, Chicago being one.
Since we haven't met in a while, we thought it might be nice to have an 'OPEN MIC' theme for the first meeting. Bring something you've been working on! Anyone is invited to showcase current work in a 5-minute lightning presentation during the first hour of the meeting. The remainder of the time would be talking amongst ourselves while feasting on fine beers and pizzas. Speaking of which, if you want to Chip in via Meetup or donate a couple of bucks to cover the beer, pizza and meetup costs of our totally volunteer enterprise, any help would be greatly appreciated!
There will be instructions specific to the meetup soon. There might be some protocol for meeting in our new space at mHUB.
