The class will cover the process and resource from design to prototyping. This class will be dedicated to the critical tools and processes utilized when ideas are converted to shapes, colors, and textures. The main focus here will be on creating impactful 2-D sketches/renderings and robust 3-D CAD models. You will also explore a variety of prototyping process, starting with all available resources here at mHUB, as well as additional resources available within the greater mHUB community. The class will wrap up with an overview of the “state of the union” in regard to digital prototyping technologies for today and tomorrow.

Jim Shaw is Managing Director of Fastway Engineering, a company that specializes in Computer-Aided Design/Engineering (CAD/CAE) software training and services. As a Mechanical Engineer, Jim brings 15 years of experience in Product Development from a wide variety of industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, and Commercial Products.
