VisFest Unconf is an annual gathering of data visualization practitioners to catalyze involvement and knowledge sharing within the d3.js and greater visualization community. As the fifth annual event, attendees will continue the tradition of sharing and hacking for two days!

We think the best part of getting a bunch of data viz enthusiasts together in one room is how much we share with each other. Since we have a limited amount of time and space together we want to make sure everyone at the event is ready to be an active participant.
We ask everyone to submit a d3.js chart example that they have made to apply for registration to the conference. This could be in the form of an observable, bl.ocks, or a website example.
If you’ve never made one before, don’t fear! See some examples of observables and blocks. You could also try Block builder if you need to make your first one.
Scholarships: If you are underrepresented in tech or are currently a student we want you to feel encouraged to attend. We have reserved free tickets, please let us know if you would like to be considered for one, info@visfest.com.
