Molly Ann Wood
Prototyping Shop Assistant
Molly Wood, prototyping shop technician is responsible for maintaining the prototyping shop and its equipment and advises members on how to go about creating their projects and teaching them the skills to do so. She also develops content and demonstrations for fabrication based learning. She specializes in wood working, metal fabrication and welding, and has a background in textiles and mold-making. Prior to mHUB, Molly worked in the Instructional Fabrication Wood and Metal shops at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago facilitating in the education provided by teachers and shop staff, and engaging in the creation of student projects. She also worked in the Chicago gallery scene as the collections manager for the Jason Pickleman collection and at Lawrence&Clark gallery. She holds a Bachelor's of Fine Art with an emphasis in Sculpture and Arts Administration from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
