Membership Development Coordinator
mHUB is actively recruiting candidates for a membership development coordinator. This individual will be actively engaged with outside membership development, strategic partnerships with SMEs and corporate partners, as well as member retention. The coordinator will assist a fast-growing organization in supporting the development and needs of Chicago's product development and manufacturing community.
Key Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities including the following:
- Build an understanding of the challenges facing physical product entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and startups to present, promote, and sell mHUB memberships
- Compile and maintain high-level cross-partnership and sales pipelines (universities, VC Firms, NGOs, incubators, etc.) to grow the mHUB community
- Develop an individual book of business by nurturing outward-facing customer relationships
- Create status reports on potential leads in targeted verticals; achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes
- Represent the mHUB brand externally/virtually by attending weekly events across Chicago and encouraging organizers to host events at mHUB
- Regularly solicit feedback from members to further inform mHUB growth and value strategy
- Support on-site/virtual meetups, special events, and programming that seek to encourage community growth and cohesiveness
Qualifications
Candidates interested in applying should meet the following qualifications:
- A charismatic, confident, independent and creative individual with experience in providing administrative support in a professional work environment and customer service/relations
- Comfortable with fast-paced and changing work environment and responsibility as well as a team player attitude
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently is a plus, willingness and ability to spend some evenings and weekends at membership/development events
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with managers and key stakeholders
- Must possess strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree and one to five years of work experience after graduation required; graduate degree a plus
- Business level proficiency in a foreign language a plus
